I’ve arrived! I’m not really sure what else to say, other than that I’m looking forward to getting involved in the music scene here. This is a very nice city. I live close to the zoo, and today I went and saw some pygmy marmosets. I suppose I should have taken some photos; well, you’ll just have to take my word for it that those monkeys are small.
If you’re in Wellington, come and see me play at the Baobab Cafe’s open mic night this Thursday! It opens at 7pm.
(Tip for insiders: It’s cheaper here, though!)
Between 4 and 5pm, with Kasper Lake and The Willow Page. If you aren’t in Lyttelton this Saturday afternoon, you can listen online at Volcano Radio’s website.
This show is a joint venture between three solo artists: Fraser Dron (of Cavalcades), Matt Bush (of Kasper Lake) and Michal Bush (of The Willow Page). We’ve got a five-piece band together and we’ll be playing three sets; if you’re used to hearing these songs quietly strummed, well, this will be sort of different. Because there will be more musicians, and some stage banter and stuff. We think you’ll like it!
Hi everyone,
I’m abundantly excited to announce that Cavalcades’ first E.P. Awaken Quite Alone is now available right here on the internet! At our store, you can listen to the whole thing; you can download it in pretty much any audio format for merely NZ$5; or, for a tiny NZ$10 you can snag yourself a copy on CD (expertly assembled by my own hand/scissors/teeth), plus a free digital download!
Thanks for lending me your eyes, your ears, and your support,
Fraser
